His presentation immediately stood out to me, not only because of the passion he conveyed but also because of his well-established reputation  as a role model in the field. It was clear that Dallas had the credentials to be a mentor and was  highly regarded for his ability to facilitate training programs that were grounded in real-world  experience.

It was a very powerful presentation. Like no other safety talk I’ve ever had before. Usually, safety talks are long boring chats about statistics that bore people to tears. This medium was a raw emotional real-life story that had grown men rubbing tears from their eyes.

Dallas opened our eyes to the bigger picture. How our decisions reach and affect others far  beyond ourselves. I will never forget this presentation, and will consciously have the message in  the back of my mind with everything I do moving forward - particularly when faced with a decision.

I am from the old school ways; I have 37 years in the civil construction industry. Your presentation gave me a swift kick in the bum, for getting complacent in my work. It is a perfect message, your Brother and your Dad would be very proud of you, to think one voice can save many lives you are a credit to your family thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us. I say us because I was there with my son sitting beside me taking it all in. Thank you.

Even though to you, I am a complete stranger that has only words to offer, I am a stranger to which you have influenced, and truly managed to make open her  eyes fully. Your story truly made me look at my own life, and you put into perspective with an agonisingly honest, raw and brutal way that my story isn't exempt and that my ending could face a similar fate.

You made the presentation personal; you are a true hero by having the courage to tell your story to make sure people stop and think about what they are doing. I don’t think there is much I can say you need to improve on as you express the fact that EVERYONE needs to watch out for each other.

Your presentation opened my eyes to just how important safety is. It was very personal, emotional, and made a difference to the way I work and view safety.

I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Why Safety Matters was a very special and truly  unique experience. Unforgettable. Far and away, the most impactful safety presentation I’ve seen  in my 26 years in the construction industry. I’m grateful for Dallas’ generosity to share his story so  openly in recounting such traumatic events in his life.
