Toowoomba Regional Council’s Forum

Toowoomba Regional Council’s Forum

What an incredible experience over the last 3 days presenting "Why Safety Matters" at the Toowoomba Regional Council’s October National Safety Month Forum!

It was a privilege to visit the Charlton, Pittsworth, Crowsnest, and Toowoomba depots to be part of such a well-organised and impactful event. The sessions were diverse, with participants ranging from plant operators, tradespeople, gardeners, administration staff, payroll teams, and Corporate and community relations. The response and feedback were amazing!

Seeing how the Council brought together such a broad mix of people to engage in safety was inspiring. We had presentations from bone marrow transplant specialist Kate, financial wellbeing expert Philippa, Heather, and Elyse from Heritage Bank, council General Managers, and safety professionals, all contributing to the theme “Safety is everyone’s business.”

For Why Safety Matters, it was a wonderful and memorable experience to share the importance of safety and well-being with such a committed community. I’m honoured to have been part of this journey, and I’m grateful for the incredible support shown by everyone involved. A huge thank you to the Toowoomba Regional Council for their dedication to safety and community engagement. Thanks to the people involved in putting this event together and the participation from the groups.

Let’s continue making safety a priority every day! Stay safe and take care. 💙
