2018 – Turning grief into purpose
Dallas channelled his loss into innovation, pioneering VR safety training to engage workers.
In 2018, Dallas joined XRJV-Training as a consultant and began developing virtual reality training simulations with his wife, Jess Lelievre. The goal was simple but groundbreaking: to create safety education that spoke directly to blue-collar workers, many of whom were disengaged by traditional classroom-style training. By drawing on his sporting background, where video sessions and simulation were common, Dallas adapted those techniques into underground safety scenarios. This approach proved cheaper, more efficient, and most importantly, more impactful in helping workers truly understand risk in a safe environment.
